Been out to Spring Lake there is about 8" of ice, lots to walk on or sled or quad. Wouldn't drive out there for a bit though.Got skunked there only saw one fish that wasn't interested.

Swan lake had about 6" of ice, good hard ice too plenty of people out the fishing was decent and size was good.

Snipe you can get out on but the wind was howling and the +4 temp with no snow on the lake was a death trap so we didn't fish it.

So I went out to swan this morning(south of ridgevalley) and the ice was about 7" thick. We drilled a couple holes and couldnt keep the rainbows off!! We could have limited out if we had let ourselves. We decided to keep 7 between the two of us. What a great way to start the season!

News years day on Swan in 12' of water with green grub eggs, 14 fish total 7 in the 4-5 lb range, was the best day this year, lol. Snipe tommorrow never iced there and hopefully can figure it out.

Well, I was at snipe last week and limited out on whitefish in no time. They were spawning which makes it pretty easy to catch them.

As for swan lake, it's on fire this year! That's why were holding our tournament there. Just to pass on some info regarding the tournament........If we get the response this year the way we did last year, we are going to have some really nice prizes. The more people registered for the tournament, the bigger the prizes!

My brother and I went  to Cummings and couldn't keep the perch off, only been out the once this year but it was a good trip.  Small perch though, and a real pain to clean!

Snipe lake is producing some really nice Whitefish. Wire worm with a maggot two to three feet under the ice.

Took my cousin and the kids, met up with joe and caught a bunch of perch at Cummings again.  Supposedly the last year their will be perch in the lake, sounds like they will all be killed off and turned back to a trout pond.

was out at cummings last weekend with the kids and caught about a zillion perch. went to sturgeon today and caught  nothing. Finished the day off at swan and caught a couple decent size rainbows. That is too bad they are gonna kill off the perch at cummings that is great for the kids,
