I am wondering why, fishermen and women don't tell of where they like to fish. The odds of someone else crowding in on your location are pretty slim |I think. I am pretty open about what lakes and spots I like to fish.  I will help pretty much any angler into catching some big fish if I know where to go. Just a little rant.

Got to keep some of those spots secret up here.  The Menanites are infamous for setting up canneries where ever they go.  They actually fished out Wadlin outside Fort Vermillion.  I saw them setting up in the NWT last summer.  I heard people talking about them setting up on pontoon boats last summer on Lesser Slave Lake.  They don't care about size, limits or species.  Be careful about who you tell about your hidden gems guys.

I never mind sharing information.  The real issue is the need to report abuse and for F&W to take proactive steps including enforcement and education.  Have not seen a F&W officer on Sturgeon or Snipe during the summer for many years.  The word is "ON", not a roadblock or check stop.

I apoligize if I offended anyone with not revealing the location of my 9lb. Walleye but when it comes to small rivers you are not doing your self any favors by telling people where you fish. On the flip side I love to take people fishing, I'll spend a whole day touring people around on my boat just to see them get into some good fish. General area's and some research is good enough for me.

Suprising enough for years I never been stopped on the lakes either.  This winter I got stopped on both Sturgeon and Snipe and last summer the F&W showed up along side my boat to check us out.  They are out there but not very often!!!!

Cory, if you see the black hat mafia setting up canneries phone that stuff in. I bet they don't even have fishing licences. I think the same at swan lake. I bet most of the dude from shore don't have a licence.
