If you use the walking trail just a few feet to the east of the boat launch you will notice the open water is right up to the shore. that was last weekend, there may be more now! I would definatly cast there.

I was out there two weeks ago fishing from shore did pretty well, we were using rods and reels with line, hooks and weights. Try the flor. red power bait it seemed to be the best there.

I was out at Swan on Sunday. Had a good day, I would say that that lake is 50% thawed. The goombas on the shore were terrible, I bet this one kid cried for 3-4 hours, and that is not an exageration. The shore looks terrible with litter, burnt logs floating in the water from winter campfires. Next time I head out there I am taking a big garbage bag to clean up a little before I fish. You know its sad that people, just don't care about the lakes and natural resources we have. Well that enough of a rant, The fishing was good, two 3 lbs, and one 4 lbs. Oh and one more bitch, if you are fishing the boat launch reel in when a boat is docking, its just a friendly thing to do.

I was also out on sunday in my belly boat. i seen guys having the best luck with wolly buggers. the one set of guys limeted out... but allot of the fish are stuffed with minnows and row. I had a few hits on a leach... P.S belly boating is flippin cold while ice is still on but doable probally spent 4 hrs in the water

In the lake information about swan on this site it say that there are brown trout in swan... is that true? I have never seen or heard of it.

If there are Browns in swan, I don't think anyone has caught one in a long time. I think they all got fished out.

I never caught a brown in swan, nor have I heard anyone else catching one. Though years ago I heard that it was stock with browns but I can't see that being true since browns are supposed to one of the strongest in the Salmo trutta species, so you would think they would survived over the rainbows. But then again I could be mistaken.

The stocking reports say there were some quite some time ago. Fisho, they can't survive being all fished out.
