Heard there was quite the situation at Snipe this weekend, anybody see the trucks in the lake?

Have to go to Red Earth on Wednesday and might swing by Joker on the way home, anybody know what the ice is like further north?

What are some of the lakes looking like now?  I have to make a small Peace Country tour tommorow and plan to stop and check out a couple, hopefully this weather stays:cool:

East Dollar was free and clear, burned my neck fishing from shore when I should have been working....  Stopped in at Sturgeon and it looked like cozy cove was fairly liquid, icebergs floating in the narrows and ice right up to the edge off of youngs point as far as you could see.  Going to be a while yet.

Going to check out Boot (Foot) lake on Saturday morning, sounds like it is pretty small so should be good to go.

Had lots of bites and lost one in the mud right at shore, trout are my nemesis!  Ive got my daughter and 2 other guys in the little boat im bringing but depending on ice we may be fishing from shore.  Not 100% yet but I'll know tommorow night I'll give you a call.  If Boot doesnt work then I'll probably bring Mason East somewhere.

Had the pleasure of going to La Crete today and stopped in at Twin Lakes, covered in ice still.  A little bit of water right at the launch but only 10 feet out or so and not very deep there.  Lake doesnt appear to be aerated and Ive never  been so I'm not sure what the fishing is like.

Wanted to swing by Figure 8 and Cummings on the way home but there was a fire near the farm tonight and I had orders to book er home.

Went to Boot and it is also covered with ice, when we drove past Kelly it was wide open so when we showed up it was a little dissapointing to say the least.

Decided it was too rotten to ice fish and to hard to cruise around so we invented our own sport, Redneck Bobsledding.  No hills just one footing the boat across the lake...Made for some funny pictures.

Didn't stay long but we did get some good pictures of a wolf that hung around the entire time we were there.
