Depending on what you call close, Bear lake is listed as having perch but I've never checked it out.  Cutbank used to but I'm pretty sure everything is dead out there.  Sturgeon, Snipe, Cummings is loaded with perch and they are supposed to be killing them off after this summer.  Goose but havn't been and not sure about summer access, Iosegun, Smoke and maybe Swan and Charlie on the BC side?

Cummings is tiny and would probably work well with your belly boat (no motors, big dugout basically).  Heard they are having a fishing derby there July 11th, no other details though.

From shore you can fish Perch at Swan B.C. to your hearts content. I use a a tiny white jig under an indicator but personlly I'd rather throw on a Spinner or a 1/4 oz. Jig and shoot for some Pike.
