Saturday my buddy and myself went out to sturgeon. I was a bit concerned because we were using the standing kyak from Kyak Kountry and it was already windy at the lake at 6:30 in the morning. we quickly realized that yes when you are standing up on one of those fishing kyaks you become much like a sail and drift quite fast, so we managed to rig up some rocks and as ancors. we did find that the kyaks were suprisingly easy to paddle against the wind and when the out rigers were open waves didnt feel bad at all. between the two of us we caught 7 walleye and 2 pike using mainly black jigs. My friend was fly fishing but the intence wind made it a bit hard to cast, he managed to snag a nice pike wich snaped his 30lb leader as he was bringing it into the kyak overall tho pretty awsome day.

Tim; Chris and I went back out to the narrow's between 9-11pm and caught 39 walleye and 1 nice 6lb. pike. I've heard of guys doing this but finally got to experience myself. Some nice walleye too 49, 50 and 53 cm's, being the biggest. It was awsome, made up for the lack of fish during the day.

Went to Snipe on Friday and had an excellent evening (76 Pike).  Then tried sturgeon yesterday and got a sunburn and 12 Walleye, a little slow but perfect weather!
