Which of these two lakes is the best for fishing?   I heard the first lake (north) is inferior, is that true?  Thank you for your thoughts

Haven't been there for a couple years but we always went to the second lake because the campsites were bigger for all the people we had together in the group.  None of us were big into fly fishing but we would troll back and forth from the boat launch to the south side working our way towards the shoreline and never had a problem catching fish.  If your in a belly boat I would say anywhere in there would be a good spot but it has been a few years!!!

I was just down there about two weeks ago and there were a lot of fish in the smaller of the two lakes.. It was the lake were motor boats are not allowed.. I also talked to the alberta wildlife officer who came over to check my liscense and he also said that the smaller lake has been producing bigger and more fish because they stocked it at the begining of the year.. He said the bigger lake which motor boats are allowed was not stocked...

Thx for the info. The family and I camped at the first lake but did not fish it. Many fish jumping! looked like fun. Fished the second lake for a very short time with no luck, however, with more effort im sure it would have been fine. The three campgrounds were fairly busy. The next time I'm out there it will be for the Torrens!!!.
