A buddy and I are heading up to the NWT to do some fishing for 5 days on the first week of September. Lake trout are fall spawners and can be had in the shallows and we all know the feed bag the pike put on in the fall.
Is there anyone here thats been up that way that can give us some advice for the fall? We are driving and taking a 16 foot Legend with a 60hp and a 14 foot jon boat so we can get out on some decent water....launching the boat might be another story. We dont really know where we're going, just gonna go look for water and fish which wont be to difficult.
Thanks | |

Do you guys have lake charts for the areas you will be fishing. I wouldn't go out on that lake in any boat smaller than 20ft. There are a lot of rocky shallows in that lake so be careful. I would stick to the Ft. Resolution area if you are un familiar with that lake. Make sure to stay close to the marker bouys if you see them. | |
