I've been to Kakwa, Cutbank, Twin, Two Lakes and Grovedale the past 2 weeks all have been excellent.  Especially the Kakwa! (Two Lakes a close second but the road past 114 was crap}.

Fished Sturgeon on Monday and it was pretty good. Had to serch for them and move quite often, but all in all fair fishing. The Peace has been pretty good too, but watch your props in there right now, the water is pretty low there too. Had to travel a long way from Dunvegan (Up or down stream) to find holes with decent numbers of fish, but it's such a pretty run in the boat so it's all good.

We caught most of our fish in about 12-14 feet. In the evening though, we were getting them in as little as 6ft.

River's are slow this fall, not sure why. Weather has not been typical in my opinion and might have something to do with it. Did catch our boat record this year for Walleye on sunday though, beating my mom's 7 lb. with a 8.7 lb.. That allusive 10 lb. is still out there. Grrrrr...

And the funny thing is; they say Walleye are suppose to be bigger in the lake's due to the ability to grow faster. Maybe they were referring to bigger lakes like great slave cause that's not the case in Peace Region.

Went to Snipe, Swan (crooked creek), Sturgeon and East Dollar the last few days, fishing was decent in all but Swan. I've heard people say a panther martin with dark purple body is the way to go in Swan but never had one with me. Sturgeon produced only a few pike and one was a keeper at 65 cm. Snipe was about the same. East dollar was probably the most active, had a couple decent rainbows on. It was pretty chilli on the boat this week but I hope too get out at least one more time this year before the water freezes!
