Sam and I went to Swan lake the other day to catch some trout and trout we caught! They seemed to hit best at dawn and finished feeding at about 10 am. They were hitting on shrimp from a super store shrimp ring....

I seem to recall a recent sitation where a trout that morning bent two out of the three hooks on a treble hook and another that broke 8 lb test! There are some monsters in that lake! The provincial record for Brown Trout is 17 lbs 9 oz and is from Swan Lake. Swan Lake is no longer stocked with Brown Trout however Rainbows are in abundance.

Were having some issues with members uploading their own stuff. At present you can do the following:

To upload videos you can sign in, click on videos and click on upload (top right side). You can't yet upload straight from your computer(it's coming soon!) but if you have videos already uploaded to youtube, you can link to them. You will see the option for that once you click on upload.

To upload pictures you need to email them to me with and I will upload to the website. You can also do this with videos so long as they aren't bigger than 9mb.

Went with the family to Sturgeon on saturday with a bro-in law and his kid and met the other BIL and his family for a hotdog and some fish.  Budder won biggest at 22", my wife killed all of us in numbers with her new rod (that I might steal....)  And the boat 10 feet beside us managed to get skunked:D.

The Williamson launch is crazy low, I thought Youngs was bad.  Getting the boat in is no problem, trying to get to the dock however is, unless someone doesnt mind getting their ankles wet.

A guy pulled up in a brand new Triton with all the bells & whistles, talk about boat envy on my part.  Something about metalflake makes me smile!

The last two times out were to Snipe about 2 weeks ago, fishing buddy and myself caught about 30 pike, most 3-5 pounds but he had one about 10 pounds, I let a 12 pounder go and had on the biggest pike of my life, but alas could not get her to the boat, and on the fly rod I might add. Last weekend went to Two lakes and had a great time in the new canoe.

Went out on Saturday with uncle and eldest son and caught a lot a walleyes. They seem to be pretty well anywhere you go. Lots stacked up in the narrows, the point and the islands. :) The water is really clear and was able to do some site fishing and saw a big northern on the island but couldn't get him to bite. :(
