Has anyone been out to either of these lakes recently?  Is the ice starting to come off yet?  Would love updates as they become available. :D

Good news indeed!

I'm hoping they got the rain we did in GP.  That should speed the process up a little bit.

I have two duffel bags full of gear that's just screaming to be chucked!

went out today (may 8th) and you couldnt cast from youngs point, I'm guessing the ice has shifted. The narrows are almost completely open and Williamson has enough room to cast however you snag weeds every single cast.

Went out to Snipe yesterday.  Had fun until the torrential downpour hit.. Quite a few bites, but all axe handles.  The big guys seem to be hiding out for a bit yet.

Sure did feel good to get out and chuck some gear though! :D

I was out at snipe lake on the may long weekend.  I caught the biggest jack I have ever caught.  It was 41 inches long and weighed 18 pounds!  There were also a number of other nice fish pulled in through the weekend.

It's been many years since I fished Snipe Lake.  Do they have a decent boat launch on that lake yet and if so where might it be?
