Didn't feel like braving the crowds Saturday at Swan so we headed to Dollar. Ice was pretty much off and will be for sure by now {if not that night}.
Just a couple rainbows and one brown. The few other guys that were there during the day looked like they were all having luck as well

I've always had good luck in that lake, It's nice to have a lake close by that still has browns in it. I understand their may still be the odd brown in Swan, actually the Alberta record brown was caught out of that lake and still stands at 17 lbs 9 oz!!! This fish was caught back in 1991.

I think that record was from Swan Lake near Rocky Mountain House. That lake still has some nice browns being pulled out of it. Has anyone caught browns in swan lake near sturgeon?

I havn't heard of any browns coming out of there for the past few years. I do know there are some monster rainbows in there though!! Just have a look at Sam's pic in the photo gallery! It's not uncommon for a guy to pull a couple 6-7 lb'rs out fo that lake in a days worth. I hear shrimp works the best! If you go fishing there, let us know how it was.

I do believe Swan is strictly rainbows, spring is both bows and browns. There are some nice bows in spring too a little quieter then Swan also. Most of the guys follow the no gas at Spring compared to Swan gong show!

Just a little addition, Sprin is bows and brookies, you can see it on the stocking report.
